  • Working from home
    Our staff are working from home for the next several weeks.   Please contact our staff via email instead of by phone as it will be easier for them to respond.  Our staff email addresses are firstname.lastname@det13.com.  You can find the names of our employees on the Who Does What, available on a link on this page. This is a new experience for our staff and it will take us a bit to get used to handling business in this way.  We appreciate your patience as we get the process ironed out.

  • End of Word Perfect support
    Reminder: Per Administrative Order 19-05, Administrative Order Amending ECF Procedures 2(1) and 7(b), the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan will no longer accept documents in Word Perfect format effective 10/1/2019.  Our office will reject any documents sent to us in that format starting with the effective date of the Order.   In concurrence with this Order, our office will no longer accept Word Perfect documents.   Please update your documents if you still use Word Perfect.

  • New Form Chapter 13 Plan
    The Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan has entered Administrative Order 17-04 regarding the use of a Local Form for a Chapter 13 Plan.  Click here to download the Court Notice.
  • Schedule Outages (Updated 7/7/2020)
    Our phone system transition is complete and all systems are working again.  You can reach our staff via their direct dial phone numbers, though we prefer that you contact them via email instead.  Please drop a note to rich@det13.com if you have any issues with the phone system. Note that there has been a slight change to our conference call system.  The room numbers will be changing.  The number to dial will remain the same.  Please watch for docket messages on the DET13 email list for the new room assignments.  
  • Trustee Fee 2019
    Effective October 1, 2018, the US Trustee Program has established the Trustee Fee for cases administered by David Ruskin at 8.5%.  This amount can fluctuate during the course of a fiscal year as well as during the life of a Plan. We encourage the use of a higher rate when calculating cases to account for these changes.
